Professional Self Defense Institute has provided the highest quality and most professional Martial Arts intstruction in Colorado since 1992 and in Grand Junction since 2011.
At Professional Self Defense Institute, we specialize in individualized training lessons.
We are committed to the success of each student and recognize that every individual has his or her own learning style, goals, and strengths.

PSDI has been providing the highest quality and most professional instruction since 1975. We specialize in semi-private and private lessons. At PSDI you will have a personal instructor committed to your success. We offer several martial art styles to choose from to fit your needs, which hold true to the original purpose of martial arts; practical, effective self-defense. It’s our individualized practical training that puts us above the rest!
THE FIRST STEP
The First Step: We know that the hardest part of your martial arts journey is getting started. Our Introductory Course makes it easy to take the first step.
It is Three Private Lessons, just you and the instructor. The purpose of the three lessons is to get to know one another, and teach you some of the fundamental skills of our system. We are also preparing you for advanced training.
You'll have the opportunity, on an individual basis to get started in the martial arts; with several styles to choose from.
It gives you, on an individual basis a chance to see what you will be learning from a practical self-defense standpoint.
You will find out what will be required of you both physically and time-wise. It will also give you the necessary background for continued training.
